Like many things during 2020, our SMSF Day events around Australia were postponed due to COVID-19. After a few months of deliberation about whether we would hold these events, it became clear that we needed to pivot to a virtual event.
What followed in November last year was a hugely successful SMSF Virtual Day. In fact, over 90% of attendees enjoyed the value from this accredited CPD event so much, that they requested we run a virtual event again in 2021.
So, we are pleased to announce that launch of the SMSF Virtual Day 2021… well, it’s actually over two days this year, following feedback from attendees (especially those in Perth about the 6:00am start).
Agenda & Speakers
Once again, the event will include a broad number of topics currently shaping the SMSF sector, that will be delivered live across the main stage, and through our current pre-recorded streams. The main stage sessions will be delivered by CEO, Aaron Dunn, with the concurrent sessions presented by a number of highly regarded SMSF, accounting and legal professionals working within the industry, with live Q&A to follow.
Hear from the Regulator
With the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to be releasing their much anticipated guidance on APES 110 for SMSF auditors in March 2021, we have been able to secure Kellie Grant, ATO Director to discuss the Regulators compliance approach to independence from 1 July 2021.
Accredited CPD hours
The SMSF Virtual Day is accredited for up to 10 CPD hours with the SMSF Association, for FASEA purposes, the Tax Practitioner’s Board, with the major accounting bodies (CPA, CAANZ & IPA), along with SMSF audit hours.
Ticketing
There are a variety of ticketing options to choose from, with early bird pricing available until 28 February 2021.
