Australian Securities and Investments Commission

Company incorporations

Create and incorporate standard and special purpose companies on the platform within minutes, through our integration with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Order a company on its own or as part of a Docflows workflow.

ABN and TFN registration

Automatically apply for a fund's TFN and ABN through the Australian Business Register (ABR) as part of establishing a new SMSF.

Identity checks: from 1 July 2026, company incorporations and certain other orders need a client identity check under the AML/CTF Tranche 2 laws. It is handled through VerifiMe and usually takes your client 2 to 5 minutes. See which documents are affected

Which SMSF software does Smarter SMSF integrate with?

Smarter SMSF has two-way integrations with BGL (Simple Fund 360 and CAS 360), Class and SuperMate. You can pull client data from your software to complete document orders, then send the documents and updated data back.

What does a two-way integration actually do?

Data flows in both directions. Your client and fund details are pulled from your SMSF software to complete the document order, and the finished documents and any updated details are sent back into your software. For new funds, this includes a one-click setup process.

Can I launch Smarter SMSF from inside BGL?

Yes. You can use the BGL integration from the Smarter SMSF platform, or connect directly through single sign-on (SSO) from within Simple Fund 360.

Can I order documents in bulk?

Yes. Create multiple orders in a single process using bulk orders. You can connect to your SMSF software and choose the clients to include, or import a CSV file to populate the orders form. CSV import templates let you prepare orders from your own database.

How does company incorporation work?

Smarter SMSF is connected to ASIC, so you can create and incorporate standard and special purpose companies on the platform within minutes. You can order a company as a stand-alone document or as part of a Docflows workflow, such as fund establishment. The ABR connection lets you apply for a fund's TFN and ABN when you order. From 1 July 2026, company incorporations and certain other orders require a client identity check under the AML/CTF Tranche 2 laws.

What if my SMSF software isn't listed?
