Richard has had a successful career in the banking sector, including over 20 years with Macquarie Group as an Executive Director in the investment banking division, providing strategic and financial advice to many of Australia’s leading companies. He has a strong commitment to the philanthropic and cultural sectors, including through his current role as a council member of the National Library of Australia, as well as a focus on impact investment, on the investment committee of Conscious Investment Management and through numerous strategic business initiatives in infrastructure, digital technology and health sectors.
Richard was appointed as Chairman of Smarter SMSF in 2021 to help strategically shape the future of the business and provide advisory support on key growth opportunities.
Richard and his wife own and manage the Rill House Vineyard in the Macedon region of Victoria.
