Wrap-up of the SMSF Day events 2023

It’s been a lot fun getting out on the road, travelling around Australia for our showcase full day CPD training events, the SMSF Day 2023.

For the first time, our events had brought together CEO, Aaron Dunn, with our new SMSF Technical & Education Manager, Tim Miller.  In reviewing the feedback from attendees so far, this partnership has been a resounding success, rating all SMSF Day sessions greater than 4.5 / 5.0.  Here’s just a few comments from attendees so far at the events:

This was a fantastic session – plenty of great content, practical application and a laugh or two thrown in. Very engaging.

Having one case study for the whole day that was quite complex was really valuable to work through various issues and strategies. Well done.

The case study of the Malthouse family and the Little Brewers Superannuation Fund has been a great success, as attendees navigated through a number of contributions, pensions and death benefit issues in sessions 2 and 3.  We all know that life isn’t linear from a life cycle point of view, taking us from accumulation to pension, and ultimately the death of a member – in our final session of the day, Tim punctures this lifecycle and explores a number of issues including divorce, residency, incapacity and more that can create problems within the Malthouse family.

SMSF Day 2023 online course

Our attention quickly turned to the release of the online course, which takes all of the content and activities from these days to deliver it in an e-learning environment.  This launches on Monday, 17 April 2023, with more details include purchasing the course available at the SMSF Day 2023 event page.
