DEFINITIONS

Event: SMSF Day 2025

Organiser: The SMSF Academy Pty Ltd T/As Smarter SMSF (‘Smarter SMSF’)

Ticket: Entry to the events associated with ‘SMSF Day 2025’.

Ticket Holder: The name in which the ticket has been purchased under or allocated to.

 

FEES

One ticket includes entry to the event ‘SMSF Day 2025’ for which you have registered.  Any and all other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by you, and Smarter SMSF shall have no liability for such costs.

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Smarter SMSF, be resold or offered for resale at a premium or used for advertising, promotion, or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions). If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund or credit and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.

The advertised and subsequent price paid for a ticket is deemed to be the correct price and should future tickets be sold at a discount no refunds/credits are due to person who paid a higher amount.

Full payment must be received prior to your attending the event.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellation notification must be emailed to: team@smarter.com.au.  No refunds will be due or payable should the cancellation notice be received 21 days or less from the event date.  Should a credit be issued then this credit can only be used to attend a future event(s) conducted by Smarter SMSF (both face-to-face and online) and must be redeemed within twelve months of the event date.

If for any reason restrictions are imposed that do not allow for the events to precede as per the original schedule, Smarter SMSF will in the first instance look to reschedule the events to a later date.  Any further decision after postponement will be made at the relevant time.

Should the event be cancelled then Smarter SMSF has the right to reschedule the event without penalty or refunds or credits being due. No responsibility will be accepted for any associated costs borne by the ticket holder.

 

PRIVACY ACT NOTE

Registration details from this event are not shared by Smarter SMSF with any other organisation, including the event partners without your express consent that is indicated from this event or activities around this event.

Where you accept to receive future information from an event partner, Smarter SMSF is not responsible for the information provided by such organisations.

 

LIABILITY

Smarter SMSF under no circumstance will accept responsibility for any injury, illness, loss of items traveling to the event, during the event, or traveling back from the event.  Workers compensation & public liability insurances are the responsibility of the ticket holder.

 

COPYRIGHT

Audio and video recording devices are strictly prohibited.  Still photography is acceptable.

All original content of Smarter SMSF must be acknowledged and referenced.

 

BEHAVIOUR AND GOOD CONDUCT

If the ticket holder is thought to be disrupting the learning and enjoyment of others at the event, they will be removed from the event without a refund or credit of the ticket.

If the ticket holder is thought to be a danger to themselves or others at the event, they will be removed from the event without a refund or credit of their ticket.

If the ticket holder is threatening or abusive to others, they will be removed from the event without a refund or credit of their ticket.

 

EVENT

Smarter SMSF has the right to change advertised programs, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity at any time.

 

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

For CPD purposes, Smarter SMSF will issue a CPD certificate to the attendee of the event only.  If you purchase a ticket, but do not attend, you will not be issued with a CPD certificate.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

The organiser shall not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this Agreement for the period that such failure or delay is due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes or labour disputes, embargoes, government orders or any other force majeure event.
