The Fine Print – SMSF Day 2026

1. Definitions

  • Event: SMSF Day 2026
  • Organiser: The SMSF Academy Pty Ltd T/A Smarter SMSF (“Smarter SMSF”)
  • Ticket: Entry to the event (in-person or online livestream)
  • Ticket Holder: The individual named on the ticket or to whom the ticket has been allocated
  • Livestream Access: Real-time, virtual participation via Smarter SMSF’s designated online platform

2. Fees & Ticket Conditions

  • Each ticket provides access to either the in-person event or livestream, based on the ticket type selected.
  • All additional costs (e.g. travel, internet, accommodation) are the responsibility of the ticket holder.
  • Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or used for promotional purposes without written approval from Smarter SMSF. Breaches may result in cancellation without refund.
  • All prices are final. No refunds or credits will be issued for later price changes.
  • Full payment is required before event access is granted (both in-person and online).

3. Livestream Access – Additional Terms

  • Livestream access is for one individual only. Sharing of access details is prohibited.
  • Access details will be sent to the registered email prior to the event.
  • Smarter SMSF is not responsible for technical issues on the attendee’s side, such as internet outages or incompatible devices.
  • It is the attendee’s responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection and compatible device.
  • Livestream content is live only unless replay access is separately provided (see Section 12).
  • No refunds or credits will be given for missed sessions or user-side technical issues.
  • CPD certificates for livestream attendees will be issued only upon verification of participation.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to team@smartersmsf.com.au.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 21 days of the event.
  • Eligible cancellations may receive a credit for future Smarter SMSF events (valid for 12 months).
  • In the case of force majeure or restrictions, the event may be rescheduled without refunds or credits.
  • Smarter SMSF is not liable for any third-party costs (e.g. travel, accommodation) if the event is rescheduled or cancelled.

5. Privacy

  • Smarter SMSF does not share your registration details with third parties without your consent.
  • If you opt into communications from an event partner, Smarter SMSF is not responsible for their content or conduct.

6. Liability & Insurance

  • Smarter SMSF is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage incurred through participation or travel.
  • Attendees are responsible for their own travel, insurance, and public liability coverage where applicable.
  • Participation in any format is at your own risk.
  • Recording of event content (audio/video) is not permitted without written permission.
  • Still photography is permitted for personal use only (in-person attendees).
  • Livestream content must not be recorded, redistributed, or shared in any format.
  • All materials remain the intellectual property of Smarter SMSF and must be properly credited when referenced.

8. Conduct & Removal

Smarter SMSF reserves the right to remove or block access to any attendee (in-person or online) without refund or credit for the following reasons:

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour
  • Risk to themselves or others
  • Offensive, abusive, or threatening conduct
  • Sharing of unauthorised access to livestream or materials

9. Event Changes

  • Smarter SMSF may change the schedule, speakers, venues, or event format at any time without liability.
  • If required, in-person events may be replaced by online delivery to ensure continuity.
  • All changes will be communicated via the contact details provided during registration.

10. CPD Certification

  • CPD certificates will be issued only to attendees who participate in the full session (in-person or livestream).
  • Smarter SMSF may use attendance tracking and verification for livestream CPD eligibility.
  • No CPD hours are awarded for non-attendance or unverified access.

11. Force Majeure

Smarter SMSF shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters or weather events
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health orders
  • Government mandates or venue closures
  • Labour disputes or technical infrastructure failures

12. Replay Access

  • If included, replay access will be provided for a limited time following the event.
  • Replay access is non-transferable and subject to platform availability.
  • CPD eligibility for watching replays will be outlined at the time of access, and may differ from live CPD requirements.
